Stories Beneath the Surface

Every Friday from 10-12, participants gather at the My Voice Media Center to work with salvaged wood that is more than 2,000 years old! The process is simple yet powerful: sanding, smoothing, observing, and polishing. With each step, the hidden beauty of the wood is revealed. Grain patterns emerge, textures soften, and layers of meaning come to light.

This session is about more than working with a precious material. It's also about reflection, patience, and discovery as we work through this unique process together. The rescued wood becomes a symbol of resilience, reminding us that even the roughest edges can be smoothed and transformed into something lasting and meaningful.
