September 2025 - Gather & Grow

Fall is just around the corner, and we are ready for the beautiful glow of the season. As summer winds down, we step into a season of gathering the things we've been tending all year: our growth, our creativity, and our connections. Just like a harvest, this is the time to reflect on what's taken root, celebrate what's blossomed, and nurture what still needs care.

Session Spotlight: Photo Editing - Tuesdays 12-2pm

Every image tells a story, but with a few thoughtful edits, you can bring even more feeling into your photos. This month's spotlight is our Photo Editing session, where you'll learn simple techniques to polish your images and highlight the emotions behind them. Join us and explore how the smallest changes can help your story shine. Can't make it in person? You can join this session from anywhere! Email mvmc@artsconsortium.org for the Zoom link.

At-Home Project: Edit with Emotion

You don't need professional software to get started. Free programs like Pixlr or Photopea (both available online) offer tools to adjust contrast, saturation, and other visual elements. Try experimenting with these simple tips:

  • Warm tones (yellows, oranges, golds) create feelings of comfort and connection.

  • Cool tones (blues, greens) can suggest calm or introspection.

  • Cropping in closer adds focus, while leaving space in your frame can create openness.

Upcoming Events

September 5th (5-8pm) - F1rst Friday (Arts Consortium)

September 9th (5:30pm) - Community Meeting (Arts Consortium)

Septebmer 27th (10am) - NAMI Walk (Del Lago Park - Tulare, CA)

Thank you for being a part of our community. Each time we gather, we help one another grow. We can't wait to see what this season of harvest brings, and we hope to share it together at the MVMC.
