Art. Creativity. Mental Health. Now happening at COS - every Wednesday this spring.

We're excited to announce that My Voice Media Center will be bringing a new series of creative wellness sessions to the COS Visalia campus!

Beginning Wednesday, February 18th, MVMC will host weekly art sessions every Wednesday through April 29th. These sessions provide a welcoming space for students to slow down, create, and engage in thoughtful, hands-on projects that support well-being and personal growth.

Most sessions will take place above the Student Center, with 3 sessions held in the COS Library on the third Thursday of each month. (Specific dates and locations are listed on the flyer below)

Participants will explore a variety of art forms and mediums through guided activities that are accessible, engaging, and purposeful. Projects are designed to be meaningful and practical, and students will create pieces that they can keep, revisit, and use beyond the session.

No prior art experience is required. These sessions are process-focused, welcoming, and open to students at all skill levels.

Session Information:

Dates: Wednesdays, February 18th - April 29th

Times: 10am-12pm & 12pm-2pm

Locations: Above the Student Center (most Wednesdays) & COS Library (3rd Wednesdays)

Cost: FREE!

Eligibility: Must be a current COS student (enrolled in at least 1 class this semester)

Capacity: 10 students per session

Materials: All supplies are provided

Space is limited, and students are encouraged to mark their calendars early. These sessions offer a reliable midweek opportunity to recharge creatively and build tools that support both academic and personal success.

Hope to see you there!
