Many things are going to be happening for May, Mental Health Awareness Month, next month. We are announcing some of the festivities soon...
In the meantime, there is a lot we can see, do and participate in, including our own mental health.
April's color theme, Coral, is a calming and thoughtful color, a great color to think about when you think of Spring flowers and creating art that is near the holiday of Easter coming up.
(This month’s color is Coral (The coral hex code is #FF7F50.))
Celebrating Wellness, Recovery, and Resilience for APRIL...
Along with the preparation for Mental Health Month, there are many other things we can celebrate and recognize.
April is recognized as National Child Abuse Prevention month.
Resources and How to Get Involved:
"Prevent Child Abuse America" provides ways for an individual to take action and get involved!
Helping to "put family first" this opportunity to become part of child abuse prevention is great.
Visit Prevent Child Abuse America to take action, participate in "Plant a virtual pinwheel", and mark your calendars for April 19th, digital advocacy day!
One way to get involved is to wear the color blue!
Our Participants and Facilitators:
This month, facilitators received a booklet from "Take Action" and their 2023 toolkit for May, Mental Health Matters month, coming in May. They also announced a special playlist of great music for Mental Health. Enjoy the playlist here!
In April we can enjoy the Take Action playlist as well as look at the booklet which helps us identify our mental health plan of action and know-the-signs.
