March at the My Voice Media Center

March in the Central Valley means blossom trails, fields waking up, and trees showing off in soft clouds of pink and white. Growth is everywhere you look. There is even talk of another superbloom this year. It feels like the whole state is stretching toward the sun.

That is the spirit we are carrying into this month.

Growth in Motion is about honoring the small, steady progress happening in our own lives. Just like the orchards, change does not happen overnight. It unfolds layer by layer. Bud by bud. Print by print. Our color this month, Clover Green, is a reminder that growth does not have to be loud to be powerful. Sometimes it simply means showing up and trusting the process.

Session Highlight: Printmaking

Printmaking is a beautiful metaphor for growth. We carve, ink, press, and reveal. Then we do it again. And again. No two prints are exactly the same. Each one carries subtle differences, reminding us that repetition builds skill, confidence, and discovery.

There is something powerful about the reveal moment. Pulling the paper back and seeing what transferred. Seeing what worked. Seeing what surprised us. Printmaking invites patience, experimentation, and trust in the process. Growth in motion.

We hope you'll join us at an upcoming session! As always, sessions are free and all materials are provided.

At-Home Activity: Leaf Prints

Bring a little Clover Green into your own space.

What you'll need:

  • Leaves

  • Acrylic or washable paint

  • Paper

  • A brush or sponge

Lightly coat the back of a leaf with paint, press it onto paper, and lift carefully. Notice the veins, textures, and natural patterns that appear. Try layering different leaves. Overlap colors. Rotate directions. Just like printmaking in session, no two prints will be identical.

As you create, reflect:

Where do you see growth in your life right now?

What small motions are adding up?
