December 2025: Finding Inner Stillness

After a full and busy year, it feels almost impossible that December is already here. The holidays tend to speed everything up, but our theme this month is a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and make space for a little inner stillness. Thank you for being part of MVMC in 2025. Your creativity and kindness have shaped this community in meaningful ways.

A Year of Creativity and Connection

As we look back on 2025, it's hard not to feel a little overwhelmed with gratitude. Every sketch, every shared story, every moment of creative courage in our sessions added up to something truly special. We've spent so much time together making art, showing up for ourselves and each other. The gallery walls, the laughter, the connections, the quiet time spent drawing or editing or sanding, all remind us that community is something we build one small moment at a time.

At Home Activity: Moments of 2025

For a gentle, reflective project that requires nothing more than a piece of paper and a pen, try this short end-of-year exercise. On a sheet of paper, draw three simple boxes to fill your page. In each one, draw or write your answers to the following questions: (Stick figure drawings are totally okay!)

1. What is one moment from this year that made you feel joyful?

2. What is one thing you want to gently let go of as the year comes to a close?

3. What is one hope you want to carry with you into the new year?

These questions invite stillness in a season that can feel overwhelming. Keep your answers somewhere safe or tuck them inside your sketchbook or journal as a reminder of where you've been and where you're going.
