August 2025: Art from the Heart

This month, we're focusing on the color Sunset Coral, a warm and glowing tone that reminds us of hope, growth, and strength through change. Our theme, Creative Courage, invites us to use art as a tool for connection and resilience. Small steps toward self-expression can become powerful acts of transformation.

Session Highlight: Art & Feelings (Tuesdays 10-12)

This open session invites you to create freely and explore how your emotions can inspire your work. No experience needed; just a willingness to show up and express what's inside. You'll find a welcoming space to connect, reflect, and feel supported through the creative process. All materials are provided, and no experience is needed.

At-Home Activity: Brave Marks

Sometimes the hardest part is getting started. This simple art activity is about making the first bold stroke and letting your courage grow from there.

1. Close your eyes for a moment and take a deep breath. When you're ready, make one bold mark on your paper (a line, a scribble, a shape, or a splash of color).

2. Let your next marks respond to that first one. Keep going without judging or overthinking.

3. Add color or textures you like. You can even write a few words or a phrase if they come to you.

This is your space to express without rules. Try using Sunset Coral tones, or whatever colors feel right to you!
