April at MVMC

April has arrived, bringing a fresh new creative energy. Longer days, more color, and that sense that ideas are starting to buzz again. This month is all about Bright ideas and following those small sparks of creativity and curiosity, wherever they lead.

Our color-of-the-month, Bumblebee Yellow, is all about curiosity, creativity, and building something new. Ideas do not have to be fully formed to matter. Sometimes the magic is just in the journey of following where they lead.

Session Highlight: MVMC On the Go

We want to share an important update with our community. Our current MVMC session lineup is scheduled to continue through the end of June 2026. After that, some changes are expected due to shifts in our funding.

If you've been thinking about joining a session, now is a great time to jump in and take advantage of these free creative spaces while our current sessions are still running.

Over the past season, we've also been able to bring MVMC out into the community through special sessions with the College of the Sequoias, CASA Youth, and TCOE Staff. These have been a meaningful way to connect, create, and share what MVMC is all about with new groups.

At-Home Activity

A simple way to spark some bright ideas at home:

What you'll need:

• Paper

• Pencil, pen, or markers

Start by drawing a small circle in the center of your page. From that circle, draw lines radiating outward like a sunburst.

On each line, add a small sketch, word, or symbol. These can be ideas, goals, things that inspire you, or even just doodles that feel fun in the moment.

Let it be loose and playful.

As you go, notice which ideas stand out to you. Which ones have a little extra energy? Those might be worth exploring.
